As a marketing strategist, Jim Blakeley has 15 years experience in technology product marketing, including marketing management positions in Rockwell Semiconductor (Conexant) and in computer peripherals and networking. Jim’s product management experience includes established companies and start-up environments and marketing technology products through distribution, resellers and to major OEMs.
While with Regis McKenna, the Silicon Valley marketing consulting firm, and in subsequent years as an independent consultant, Jim has developed corporate positioning, product strategies and take-to-market strategies for a wide variety of semiconductors, computer systems/subsystems, network products, e-business software and medical devices. He is a technology marketing and branding course instructor for the Caltech Industrial Relations Center and for customized in-house marketing courses.
Clients have included established companies such as IBM, Intel, Cirrus Logic, Nortel, Sun Microsystems and Redback Networks, as well as smaller start-up and turnaround companies in telecom, networking, enterprise software and biotech.
